Clinical or Counselling Psychologist – Mental Health Support Team

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST). With support from the Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering—and, where appropriate and in line with training—notably supervising evidence-based cognitive behavioural interventions for children and young people presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

About the Role

  • You will contribute to team development, collaborating with schools and multi-agency partners to support the delivery of high-quality, outcome-focused care
  • An active role in the three core MHST functions, including:
    • Supporting Senior Mental Health Leads in education settings
    • Providing timely advice, consultation, and liaison to school staff and wider professionals
  • Promote a positive learning culture through supervision, coaching, and training, while championing inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice to improve outcomes for all

We welcome applications from candidates in the final stages of doctoral training who are near completion within standard training programme timelines. Applicants should indicate their anticipated completion date in their supporting statement.

This is an 18-month fixed-term post with potential for progression to a permanent role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
