South West London & St. George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG) provides mental health services at primary, secondary and tertiary levels to the residents of Wandsworth, Sutton, Merton, Kingston and Richmond.
Wandsworth Talking Therapies
The Wandsworth Talking Therapies service offers evidence-based psychological treatments (e.g., CBT, IPT, DIT) to people with common mental health problems (i.e., depression, anxiety disorders and eating disorders) within a stepped-care model. Wandsworth Talking Therapies is professionally managed by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and operationally managed by a Service Manager. The clinical team includes qualified Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, IAPT High Intensity CBT Practitioners, and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners who provide evidence-based psychological interventions in line with NICE guidance.
Role: Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)
We are looking for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with substantial experience in delivering low intensity CBT assessments and interventions in IAPT, to coordinate triage assessment and CBT treatment provision and help improve access rates.

Responsibilities
- Coordinating the provision of brief telephone-based triage assessments
- Supporting the training and development of the service’s Band 4 Trainee PWP and Band 5 PWP staff in the application of low intensity treatments such as guided self-help, cCBT and CBT-based psycho-educational courses for depression and anxiety disorders
- Working closely with the service’s Step 2 Lead to ensure Step 2 assessments and interventions delivered in Wandsworth Talking Therapies are of the highest standard and help the service to meet the nationally agreed access and recovery targets

You will receive regular clinical and line management supervision from the service’s Step 2 Lead.
