Counter Lead – The Brand Support & Sales Role

A dedicated Counter Lead is required to drive sales growth, enhance market share, and uphold a consumer-focused Brand image. The role demands autonomy, flexibility, and a passion for excellence—ensuring every in-store and digital interaction delights customers while reinforcing Brand integrity.

Accountabilities & Core Responsibilities

  • Brand Representation:
    • Consistently project a credible, professional Brand image—ensuring accountability at every customer interaction.
  • Sales Excellence:
    • Maximise turnover through selling, exceptional service, and impeccable retail standards.
  • Process Compliance:
    • Maintain adherence to store, Brand, and Company Procedures to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Performance Tracking:
    • Stay informed of daily/weekly targets and ensure conductive knowledge of all further sales channels—including occasion-based events, Omnichannel, and digital retail.
  • Competitive Awareness:
    • Monitor competitor activity and missed revenue opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Social Media Engagement:
    • Strategically manage Brand’s social media presence, capitalising on opportunities to protect and enhance reputation while driving engagement.
  • Brand Strategy Implementation:
    • Implement localised Brand plans aligned with broader corporate initiatives to deliver local impact.
  • Local Marketing & Events:
    • Plan and execute regional marketing campaigns and retail events in harmony with Retailer initiatives.
  • Zero-Complaints Mindset:
    • Champion exceptional consumer service, fostering a culture that eliminates complaints and continuously elevates experiences—"surprise and delight" mentality.
  • Brand Ambassador Leadership:
    • Personify Core Brand values, inspiring teams to reflect and live those values in every action.
  • Quality Customer Resolution:
    • Handle refunds, complaints, and exceptions methodically, resolving issues to customer satisfaction while consulting the Area Manager proactively when needed.
  • Upskilling & Knowledge Retention:
    • Utilise digital tools to maintain current Product, industry, and Brand awareness.
  • LoyaltyStrategy Execution:
    • Deliver a consumer recruitment and retention strategy, cultivating a loyal customer community.

Operations Focus

  • Standardised Excellence:
    • Plan to ensure all time customer facing aspects (product, housekeeping, displays, signage, pricing) meet the highest industry standards.
  • Daily Performance Auditing:
    • Conduct daily oversight of retail standards detection, ensuring consistent and compliant execution.
  • Efficient Stock Management:
    • Coordinate deliveries, stock movements, and moving-related admin work in strict compliance with agreed timelines and Company policies.
  • Process Compliance:
    • Maintain thorough records of all auditable processes and administrative tasks, addressing any high-risk findings decisively.
  • Timely Information Requests:
    • Facilitate accurate fulfillment of all customer or internal information needs within agreed deadlines.
  • Loss Control & Security:
    • Implement Company Security Procedures to minimise stock loss and safeguard operational integrity.
  • Health & Safety Culture:
    • Establish a prudent, compliant health/safety environment—guaranteeing minimum "Acceptable" grading in all audits as per both Company and Retailer guidelines.

Commercial Acumen & Strategic Execution

  • Replenishment Management:
    • Oversee daily restocking and intervene where necessary to prevent stock shortages or overage.
  • Decision-Driven Insights:
    • Interpret and apply commercial data reports to optimal financial and productivity outcomes.
  • Visual Merchandising Leadership:
    • Plan and deliver guidelines-aligned visual merchandising to maximum commercial effect, within time constraints.
  • Stock & Package Monitoring:
    • Spot issues in stock batches and apply corrective action—escalate to the Area Manager when out of scope.
  • Promotion & Discount Management:
    • Execute all Brand promotions and discounts accurately and exactly in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Market Trend Analysis:
    • Identify emerging trends, propose performance-enhancing strategies, and contribute actionable insights to enhance market alignment.

    • Proven success in high-pressure retail or consumer-facing operations.
    • Strong track record of self-motivated professional growth.
  • Strategic Awareness:
    • Deep industry understanding combined with a keen sense of commercial imperatives.
