Senior Make-Up Artist UNITE

As one of our highly skilled make-up artists, you’ll combine your creative and technical mastery with a passion for people to deliver a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in-store experience that educates and delights customers.
You’ll collaborate with a high-performing team to:
- Elevate customer engagement through exceptional make-up consultations, demonstrations, and personalized treatments.
- Plan and execute impactful in-store events that capture attention and drive business.
- Maintain unmatched visual merchandising standards to ensure the store stands out in Gwendoline’s prestigious market.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Inspiration
- Deliver authentic, high-end make-up services that leave customers feeling confident and inspired.
- Educate clients on Gwendoline’s premium range with expertise in application techniques, product benefits, and styling trends.
- Provide a welcoming, positive, and personalized experience tailored to each customer’s needs.

In-Store Events & Engagement
- Creatively design and execute live demonstrations, workshops, and seasonal promotions (e.g., festive makeovers, product launches).
- Partner with marketing teams to coordinate events that drive footfall and conversions.
- Train and mentor junior team members to ensure consistency in service standards.

Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation
- Curate and refresh make-up displays to align with seasonal trends, promotions, and brand guidelines.
- Create striking “point-of-sale” displays that showcase products in the most appealing way.
- Monitor product clears, restocks, and trial supplies to maintain efficiency and presentation.

Sales & Retail Excellence
- Exceed retail targets by leveraging product knowledge, upselling techniques, and exceptional service.
- Process transactions efficiently while adhering to loss prevention policies.
- Support inventory checks, stock rotations, and maintenance tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements
Essential
✅ A high level of creativity and technical skill in make-up artistry (demonstrable via portfolio, experience, or hands-ontests). ✅ The ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service—listening, advising, and exceeding expectations. ✅ Availability to work retail hours, including:
- Weekdays, weekends, evenings, and special events (opens 9am–10pm, flexible shifts across weekends). ✅ Experience with retail point-of-sale systems (or rapid learning ability). ✅ Current right to live and work in [country] (proof required if shortlisted).

Desirable (but not mandatory!)
🎀 A qualification or certification in professional make-up artistry (e.g., LORI, Universal Make-Up, IAT). 💄 Previous retail make-up experience, including consultations, events, or visual merchandising. 📸 Strong make-up portfolio or social media following showcasing trends, editorial looks, or live training. 💰 Excellent numeracy for sales tax calculations and processing transactions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

While formal qualifications are preferred, we’re passionate about passion, skill, and potential:
- Emerging artists (amateur level) with exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn are encouraged to apply.
