Who we are: DEEP is an international design and engineering company on a mission to make humans aquatic. We’re doing this by advancing ocean exploration through the development of new technologies that will enable humans to live and work in underwater environments for longer periods of time.
Role Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Closed Bell Diving Instructor to deliver high-quality training for the DEEP Closed Bell Diver Course. This role is central to ensuring training is delivered in accordance with UK HSE Closed Bell training requirements and DEEP Institute standards, maintaining the highest levels of safety, professionalism, and instructional quality.
You will deliver both classroom-based and practical training, guiding trainees through all aspects of closed bell diving operations using established training materials and best practices. The role requires a strong commitment to developing others, ensuring candidates gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to operate safely in a commercial saturation diving environment.
This is a hands-on instructional role suited to an experienced commercial saturation diver who enjoys sharing expertise, mentoring others, and contributing to a collaborative training environment. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure a consistently high standard of delivery and an exceptional training experience for all participants.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
