Traveling Superintendent – Data Center Construction (Ground-Up)

Traveling – United States

Overview

We are seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents to support the delivery of large-scale ground-up data center construction projects across the United States. This role will oversee daily field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working for a General Contractor (GC) on mission-critical or data center construction projects and be comfortable leading field teams in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership

  • Oversee daily on-site construction operations for ground-up data center projects
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and field personnel
  • Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with project requirements

  • Maintain and drive the construction schedule and sequencing of work
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project progress

Quality & Safety

  • Enforce strict site safety standards and compliance procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards

Project Communication

  • Lead daily and weekly site coordination meetings
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to project leadership
  • Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction experience, including time as a Superintendent
  • Proven experience delivering ground-up data center or mission-critical projects
  • Experience working for a General Contractor (GC)
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on complex builds
  • Willingness to travel for projects across the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on large-scale data center or hyperscale developments
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore or Bluebeam
