Clothing Designer

Product Clothing Designer – Prodrive Brand&

We are an innovative division of Prodrive, blending motorsport heritage with cutting-edge merchandise design for clients across global markets. With 20 years of experience, we deliver end-to-end solutions—from conceptual design to worldwide distribution—ensuring high-quality, brand-aligned products across clothing, accessories, and associated markets.

About the Role

We’re seeking a creative, detail-oriented Clothing Designer to join our Production team under the Head of Product and Head of Design. This role will support the development of clothing and accessory designs for diverse brands, refine design workflows, and ensure seamless collaboration between design, production, and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Concept Development

    • Attend internal/external client briefings and translate brand guidelines into market-ready design concepts
    • Collaborate to interpret client briefs, balancing creative direction with technical feasibility (sustainability, fabric trends, branding standards)
    • Develop design templates and systems to streamline production workflows
  • Client & Production Liaison

    • Interpret brand logos, colours, and aesthetic directions across product ranges
    • Present and refine designs with stakeholders, factories, and clients, both in-person and remotely
    • Prepare detailed technical specifications (sizing, fits, fabric lists, CAD drawings) for factory production
    • Review factory samples and provide clear, concise feedback on deviations in fit, fabric, colour, and branding

  • Quality & Supply Chain Oversight

    • Maintain detailed documentation of designs, revisions, and production installs across digital platforms (Adobe Creative Suite, deskills, Charm)
    • Ensure supplier adherence to global production standards via international communication (interpreting cultural/regulatory variances)
  • Innovation & Trend Research

    • Stay ahead of retail and fashion trends, integrating insights into product development locally and globally
    • Research fabric innovations, lash-free technologies, and sustainable materials to inform new collections
    • Curate store reports and retail insights to suggest new product directions
  • Visual & Documentation Support

    • Produce high-quality visuals for marketing (mockups, rendering, image libraries) in paper and digital formats
    • Create and distribute artwork/design assets for merchandising, email campaigns, and social media

Who We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will combine:

  • Fashion/Design qualifications (HND, degree, diploma) or equivalent commercial experience in clothing/accessory design
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ retail or commercial experience, with expertise in adaptable design systems for rapid production cycles
  • Strong technical drawing/illustration skills (industry-standard tools: Adobe Creative Suite, fashion software such as CLO 3D, or Rhino vasts)
  • Garment construction knowledge (seam intersections, darts, laser-cut tests, prototyping) and familiarity with print/promotional techniques (sublimation, heat transfer, embossing)
  • Proven trend forecasting and branding portfolio work—experience with ** motorsport or automotive fashion** a strong advantage
  • Stylistic flexibility to translate established aesthetics into functional, reproducible designs for VIP-centric and B2C brands
  • Fluency in English (deskilled presentation, written technical documentation)
