About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team and lead a critical enterprise cloud migration project. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive cloud architecture that supports the migration of a large-scale on-premise estate, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle databases, and Microsoft technologies, to our cloud platform. You will own the target architecture, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals, security standards, and industry best practices. The Cloud Architect will also drive governance through the Architecture Review Board, define migration strategies, and oversee the execution of the migration process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the company's cloud transformation journey and contribute to its digital modernization efforts.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with a proven track record leading enterprise cloud migration projects
- Deep technical expertise in Linux operating systems, specifically RHEL, as well as Oracle databases and Microsoft technologies
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security protocols, and governance frameworks
- Experience in creating reference architectures, migration patterns, and operational guardrails for large-scale cloud deployments
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred
Bonus points for experience with TOGAF, FinOps, Kubernetes, and working in regulated environments such as finance, healthcare, or government sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of the target cloud architecture, ensuring it meets organizational requirements for security, resilience, and cost-efficiency
- Define and document migration strategies, including phased approaches, risk mitigation, and operational considerations
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and governance bodies to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices
- Drive governance through the Architecture Review Board, ensuring compliance and quality across all cloud initiatives
- Develop reference architectures, migration patterns, and operational guardrails to standardize and streamline the migration process
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams involved in the migration project
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, security, and costs post-migration, implementing improvements as needed
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and innovations
