Cloud Architect
Local Authority: Interim Azure Solutions Architect
A breaking update requires an interim Azure Solutions Architect to oversee the delivery of critical statutory services via a resilient cloud platform. This mandate includes defining the core platform foundation and the necessary integration layers to establish reliable, governed, and consistent data flow.
Key Strategic Objectives

Zero Trust Architecture: Design and enforce Zero Trust principles across connectivity, networking, identity, and application access layers.

Policy-Driven Governance: Deploy Azure Policy and Azure Blueprint to automate regulatory compliance checks, ensuring remediation of non-compliance.

- Platform Maturity:
Design, document, and oversee deployment of the Azure Landing Zone (ALZ), aligning strictly with the eight design areas of the **Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF):
- Azure billing
- Microsoft Entra tenant
- Identity and access management
- Management group and subscription organisation
- Network topology and connectivity

- Management
- Governance
- Platform automation
Required Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified – Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Significant experience in Cloud Architecture and hands-on strategic implementation of enterprise-scale Azure Solutions architecture
- Proven track record in defining, deploying, and maintaining architectural controls to meet UK public sector standards (including NCSC guidance and UK OFFICIAL controls) in multi-domain environments

Desirable Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified – DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
Role Setup
- Location: Flexible, with 2 days per week onsite in London
- Rate: £700–£850 per day (inside IR35)
