You will be involved with enhancing our engineering strategy within Cloud & Engineering and be a key figure in maintaining DevOps excellence throughout Cloud Native & App Development. In addition, you will be a technical and inspirational leader who builds motivated, inclusive teams – there are no limits for your creativity and vision. We will encourage you to engage with the tech community - both internally and externally, to become a subject matter expert and help shape our opinions on modern technologies and spearhead best practice development. The Cloud Native & App Development team charter is built on our shared passion across four areas; Engineer, Inspire, Contribute and Lead. As an engineer with a strong base of software engineering or IT Ops experience, it will be your job to build and operate technical platforms and systems that underpin some of our most exciting client projects. This role touches upon a variety of aspects of Platform and Site Reliability Engineering, such as infrastructure & environment management and build, continuous delivery and deployment and code governance. We are looking for individuals who can embed themselves with developers, business analysts and test managers; ensuring that systems are built in a way that makes them fast, maintainable and able to handle frequent incremental change. Required Skills & Experience: All applicants must hold UK security clearance to Developed Vetting level. Experience in cloud implementation such as application development and infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS SAM, CloudFormation) Experience with cloud hyperscalers, such as Oracle, GCP, AWS or Azure Confident with key DevOps practices - CICD, IaaS, Containerisation and Deployment pipelines Provide expertise in one or more of the following areas: SysAdmin, IaaS, Full Stack development, virtualisation/containerisation, environments and configuration management Experience with python/Bash/Go scripting Understand the importance of Observability and have built systems to focus on early insight into issues using monitoring and alerting Pioneer DevOps/SRE best practices with a curious mind and an ability to mentor junior employees Able to design and build frameworks or toolsets to be reused by the wider engineering community #LI-Hybrid
