Job Title: Cloud Engineer β Azure Stack & Azure Components
π Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid β 3 Days Onsite)
π Contract: Inside IR35
π° Rate: Market Rate
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and support scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across Azure components, cloud automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), working closely with development and DevOps teams to deliver secure and reliable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Implement and support core Azure components including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Azure AD.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure environments for performance, security, and cost.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.

Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering with strong Microsoft Azure expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity & Security.
- Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and governance.
- Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for automation.

Nice to Have
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent).
- Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized applications.
- Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones and cloud migration projects.
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
