Azure Cloud Engineer
Location: Bristol (City Centre) - Hybrid Working
Salary: £70k + bonus + benefits
We’re working with a global business in Bristol looking to hire an Azure Cloud Engineer to help manage and evolve their Azure cloud platform.
You’ll join a small cloud and infrastructure team, where you’ll have real ownership of the Azure environment and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the platform. The role offers strong autonomy and the chance to influence how the cloud estate develops as the business continues to modernise its infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the organisation’s Azure cloud environment, ensuring it remains secure, reliable and well-optimised
- Lead improvements to the cloud platform, helping modernise legacy workloads and reduce reliance on VM-based infrastructure
- Design and implement automation and infrastructure-as-code to improve consistency and reduce manual deployments
- Work with software engineers to improve deployment processes and hosting environments for cloud-based applications
- Strengthen monitoring, alerting and operational visibility across the Azure environment
- Improve platform resilience, backup and disaster recovery capabilities
- Identify opportunities to optimise Azure usage and reduce cloud costs
- Contribute to the ongoing cloud roadmap and architecture decisions

Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services
- Experience managing Azure networking, including VNets, firewalls, private endpoints and routing
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or similar)
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in Azure DevOps or similar tooling
- Experience working with monitoring, logging and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or Application Insights
- Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure

Nice to Have
- Experience with container platforms (AKS or Docker)
- Exposure to Azure security tooling or governance frameworks

- Hybrid working - Ideally 2 days per week onsite, however further flexibility can be discussed
