About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cloud Engineer to join our Managed and Cloud Services team at System C. This role is ideal for individuals who are early in their cloud career and eager to develop their technical expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the deployment, operation, and maintenance of cloud environments, primarily focusing on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with experienced cloud professionals to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure cloud services that meet both internal and customer requirements. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and cloud security practices, contributing directly to the digital transformation initiatives of healthcare organizations.

Relevant qualifications or certifications such as AZ-900 or AZ-104 are desirable but not mandatory. Basic scripting skills, familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like ARM, Bicep, or Terraform, and an understanding of networking fundamentals are essential. Candidates should have some exposure to monitoring tools and Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, or IIS. A foundational knowledge of cloud deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and a willingness to expand their skill set through continuous learning are critical for success in this role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
