Job Title: Engineer
Location: Southampton (Hybrid)

Project Title: Zoomstack Delivery
Experience Required:
- Building, deploying, testing, debugging, scaling, and monitoring secure systems
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Developing modules for use on Databricks with Scala and Spark
- Automated Access and Security Management
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Build and maintain software components using modern engineering and iterative delivery practices
- Provide expert software development and configuration in your technical area
- Understand, apply and advocate engineering best practices, industry patterns and solutions
- Ensure software is secure, reliable and thoroughly tested
- Work collaboratively within agile, cross functional delivery teams
- Develop high quality documentation

How You'll Do It:
You will play a crucial role in our team by developing software components and modules involved in product generation, along with the supporting infrastructure they rely on. The role requires a DevSecOps mindset, combining sound software engineering, infrastructure awareness and security by design to deliver reliable, well tested and maintainable solutions.

Skills and Technologies Required:
- Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud Services (Entra, Batch, ADLS, ADF)
- Azure Infrastructure as code
- Data Pipeline tooling (Databricks (with Unity Catalog / Spark / ADF etc) experience
- Experience with Scala, Bicep, Python, PowerShell
Location:
Based out in Southampton (not fully remote) with the contingent worker coming into office at least once a week on Wednesdays and attend monthly and quarterly in person days.
