This is a fixed-term contract role (August & September 2026) suited to a practical Azure AI builder who can configure services, write code, debug issues and improve the quality of AI agent and retrieval-based systems.
The role will be approximately 70% focused on client delivery and 30% focused on internal automation and light web support. - Test the AI agent against client datasets and improve prompts, retrieval quality, schemas, grounding, validation and guardrails.
- Configure and maintain RAG workflows, including indexing, chunking, embeddings, vector/hybrid search and metadata filtering.
- Instrument the system using Application Insights, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track errors, latency, usage, retrieval diagnostics and agent performance.
- Debug agent behaviour, retrieval failures, workflow issues and common RAG failure modes.
- Work safely and effectively within client-controlled Azure environments.
- Create concise handover documentation for client and internal teams.
- Build internal AI-native automations for sales, follow-up, demos, reporting, research and product workflows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
