Position Overview
As a Platform Engineer within our Cloud Pods, you’ll collaborate in a culture of continuous growth, innovative problem-solving, and collective success. We embrace hybrid working, ensuring a flexible blend of office visits, client site engagement, and remote work (though not 100% from home).

- Build, maintain, and optimise cloud platforms with a focus on technical reuse, standardisation, and blueprints, favouring code-first engineering over manual workflows.
- Participate in agile sprints, shaping outcomes alongside customers and contributing to fast-paced, dynamic projects.
- Develop your expertise through certifications, professional development, and hands-on experience in platform engineering.
- Collaborate to refine and elevate our Capgemini offerings, driving continuous improvement.
About the Role
You’ll own platform engineering responsibilities within a Pod (collaborative, cross-functional teams). Your contributions directly enhance cloud capabilities for UK clients, while upgrading your skills and expanding your impact.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate in hybrid Pod teams, balancing:
- Cloud platform core functions: design, build, and maintain scalable, maintainable solutions leveraging IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and GitHub governance.
- Foundational work: improve standards, templates, and automation for broader resuse.
- Project delivery: support teams by unblocking impediments and actuator wider transformations.
- Continuous learning: upskill in Azure/AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, and cloud security practices.
Central to your role: ✔ Empowering teams to deliver customer value efficiently. ✔ Detecting and eliminating friction—code, process, or operational—to build a self-service culture. ✔ Encouraging peer learning and conference sharing, fostering collective growth.
Ideal Skills and Experience
Technical Expertise
We seek passionate platform engineers with: ✅ 10+ years in systems administration, DevOps/SRE, or cloud engineering. ✅ Proven Azure/AWS expertise (preferably hands-on in **Microsoftфициенцировання or AWS security/Ded"). ✅ Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools:
- Terraform/Ansible (infrastructure-level scripting).
- Orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), OpenShift.
- IAC tools for cloud-native networking (e.g., Network Load Balancers, private VPC usage). ✅ CI/CD luxury: At least one pipeline orchestration experience (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins setup). ✅ Knowledge of cloud security implications (e.g., least privilege access, encryption) and network design (e.g., multi-layered security, NAT gates, routings). ✅ Cross-platform cloud experience shifting resources between AWS and Azure with minimal downtime.
