Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer (AWS)

Natsec Cloud Engineer

Join Zaizi through Hackajob for an exciting opportunity to shape security-critical infrastructure in a scaling, innovative environment

About Zaizi

Zaizi thrives on solving complex challenges with creative thought and cutting-edge technology. Our culture is inclusive, modern, friendly, and innovative, fostering positive, can-do individuals who challenge themselves to excel.

Here, you’ll work on mission-critical projects that protect and enhance the UK’s digital infrastructure—autonomously, collaboratively, and with integrity.

About the Role

Zaizi is seeking a National Security (Natsec) Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in:

  • Automating software delivery pipelines within highly scalable systems
  • Leveraging open-source technologies in secure, high-integrity environments
  • Infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment automation for mission-critical applications
  • Collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams across disciplines

As a Natsec Cloud Engineer, your role will be pivotal in building resilient, compliant, and high-performance cloud deployments for UK digital security needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automate cloud-first environments: Design, implement, and deploy secure infrastructure and application provisioning, configuration, management, and deployment processes.
  • Optimise CI/CD pipelines: Work with automation tools (e.g., DroneCI) to streamline testing, builds, and deployments from Git repos (GitHub/GitLab).
  • Secure-by-default systems: Apply enterprise security best practices, including:
    • Mutual authentication
    • HTTP security headers
    • Pod/network security in Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure code: Utilise AWS CloudFormation and Terraform-similar approaches, combined with Ansible, to manage scalable systems.
  • Troubleshooting & scalability: Resolve issues and optimise performance in high-duty-cycle (24/7/365) environments.
  • Team collaboration: Partner across cross-functional teams, from Devs to cybersecurity, to ensure precise, compliant delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
