This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Engineer GCP, Talent Pool based in United Kingdom.
As a Cloud Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will join a curated talent pool of cloud professionals ready to support high-impact infrastructure projects across a variety of industries. Working on a project basis, you will design, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud environments while collaborating with experienced cloud architects and engineering teams. This role offers the flexibility to choose engagements that match your expertise while contributing to complex digital transformation initiatives. If you are passionate about Infrastructure as Code, cloud automation, and building reliable cloud solutions, this opportunity provides the autonomy, technical challenges, and continuous learning needed to advance your cloud engineering career.
Accountabilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a variety of client projects.
- Translate cloud architecture designs into clean, reusable, and maintainable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Automate cloud operations to improve scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud environments while implementing infrastructure best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cloud architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
- Contribute to infrastructure standardization, automation strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage project deliverables independently while maintaining clear communication within distributed and asynchronous teams.

Requirements
- Approximately 3 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, networking, security, and cloud operations.
- Ability to work independently in remote, project-based environments while effectively managing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with distributed engineering teams.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification, or progress toward obtaining it, is considered an advantage.
- Experience with additional cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
