About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Cloud Engineer to join System C's Managed and Cloud Services team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are early in their cloud career and eager to develop hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the deployment, operation, and maintenance of both internal and customer cloud environments, ensuring the delivery of reliable and efficient cloud-based solutions.

You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers and contribute to a variety of projects that enhance the company's cloud infrastructure. The position provides a platform for growth in cloud technologies, infrastructure management, and service delivery, making it ideal for professionals passionate about cloud computing and digital transformation in healthcare.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure, combined with a proactive and curious mindset. Relevant experience or exposure to cloud deployment, support, and infrastructure management is essential. Basic scripting skills, understanding of infrastructure as code, and familiarity with monitoring tools will be advantageous. Certifications such as AZ-900 or AZ-104 are desirable but not mandatory, as training and development opportunities will be provided.

Key Qualifications Include

  • Experience or exposure to Microsoft Azure (deployment or support)
  • Understanding of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS environments
  • Basic scripting knowledge, such as PowerShell
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code technologies like ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, or IIS
  • Basic networking knowledge

Desirable qualifications encompass entry-level Azure certifications, automation tools experience, and familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring their optimal performance and security. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Deploying, configuring, and supporting cloud infrastructure and services across Azure and on-premise environments
  • Monitoring the health, performance, and costs associated with cloud and on-premise systems
  • Supporting the implementation of cloud solutions for internal projects and customer systems
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and resolving incidents promptly across Microsoft-based environments
  • Participating in disaster recovery planning, backup testing, and resilience initiatives to ensure system robustness
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records
  • Identifying potential risks and escalating issues to ensure proactive resolution
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to foster a supportive and innovative team environment
