Now, we’re looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Lead to champion reliability, scalability, and security—guiding our engineering systems toward automated, cost-efficient, and secure by design solutions.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Lead, you’ll be at the helm of Moorepay’s AI-driven, cloud-native platform, shaping its resilience, scalability, and operational excellence. With our push toward intelligent agents, autonomous workflows, and complex distributed systems, your responsibility is to:
- Define foundational tooling, automation, and patterns that enable safe, fast, and repeatable deployments.
- Safeguard our production environment while advancing CI/CD, observability, and reliability practices.
- Empower engineering squads to innovate swiftly—without compromising stability.
You’re the pivot point ensuring our platform stays robust, secure, and highly available, scalable for the future.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Architectural Leadership
- Define and enforce cloud and platform architectures aligned with enterprise security standards.
- Oversee low-level designs (LLDs), ensuring they harmonise with high-level designs.
- Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and reusable solution patterns.
- Provide cloud-native architecture guidance, container orchestration, and modern tech best practices.

Platform Engineering & Delivery Enablement
- Build, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth, scalable delivery.
- Enhance observability with logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions.
- Scale platform services to meet evolving business demand.
- Ensure operational readiness across all environments.
Cost Optimisation
- Lead cost-efficient design, provisioning, and cloud platform operations.
- Implement tagging, usage reporting, budget alerts, and governance controls.
- Reduce waste—eliminate underutilised resources and excessive spending.
- Drive adoption of autoscaling, optimised instances, reserved instances, and savings plans.
- Partner with Finance for forecasting and cost reviews.
Cloud Capability Leadership
- Own and evolve Cloud Delivery Roadmap priorities.
- Maintain a Cloud Service Catalogue with KPI and SLA alignment.
- Embed continuous improvement across cloud and platform services.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Architecture, Group Tech, Service Management, Product, and Portfolio teams.
- Translate complex technical plans, risks, and performance updates into actionable insights.
- Manage relationships with third-party cloud vendors.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Foster career growth and knowledge sharing.
- Cultivate a collaborative, innovative culture.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in Cloud, Platform, or DevOps roles.
- Deep expertise in Azure and AWS, including their security and networking models.
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Pipelines).
- Leadership опыт (both via delivery and guiding technical teams).
- Mastery of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation.
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong grasp of cloud security, networking, cost optimisation.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure coding, and compliance frameworks.
