Cloud Network Engineer
Job Title: Networking Engineer – Cloud Platform Engineering (Azure/AWS)
About the Role
Intapp is at an inflection point. We have just launched Intapp Celeste — our agentic AI platform built for the world’s top law, accounting, private capital, and professional services firms. Over 2,700 firms globally rely on our platform, and we are re-architecting everything around AI-native workflows.
The Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) team sits right at the center of this transformation. This is a cloud networking role at its core. We are expanding into new cloud regions and standing up many more Kubernetes clusters, requiring someone who can design and secure the network infrastructure that unites everything across Azure and AWS—for regulated, compliance-heavy clients who cannot afford surprises.
A significant aspect of this role is designing network security for agentic workloads, including:
- How AI agents are isolated
- What they are allowed to reach
- How every connection stays governed and auditable
This is not a "keep-the-lights-on" job. We are looking for engineers who use AI as a force multiplier in their own work, shaping what secure, multi-region cloud networking looks like as Celeste scales.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Kubernetes team, as well as shared services, and share overlapping responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Infrastructure Architecture: Design, architect, and operate the Azure and AWS network as we expand into new regions.
- Agentic Workload Security: Design network security for agentic workloads, including network isolation, segmentation, and egress control.
- Kubernetes Fleet Management: Build cluster networking for a fast-growing Kubernetes fleet.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Define network infrastructure using Terraform.
- Authentication and Security:
- Support and harden Azure Entra ID integration and authentication.
- Contribute to zero-trust controls and cloud-native identity management.
- AI-Driven Automation:
- Use AI for anomaly detection, alerting, and automated runbooks to streamline operations.
- Collaboration: Partner with Kubernetes and product engineering teams to resolve complex networking issues.
- Performance Optimization: Lead deep dives on intricate networking challenges to ensure stability and security.

Requirements
Must-Have
- 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating on Azure (AWS experience is a plus). Cloud networking must be a core strength.
- Deep networking fundamentals:
- DNS, routing, firewalls, segmentation
- Virtual Networking (VNet/VPC) architecture
- Experience in designing cloud network security with a focus on:
- Zero-trust models
- Security controls
- Proficiency with Kubernetes networking, including:
- CNI (Container Network Interface) plugins
- Ingress/egress architecture
- Network policies and workflows
- Experience with identity and authentication systems, including:
- Azure Entra ID
- Active Directory integration
- Comfortability with AI tooling in an engineering/operations context (e.g., automated runbooks, observability, or alerting).
- Automation-first mindset: Write, not just read, scripts and automation workflows.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience scaling networks across multiple regions or large Kubernetes fleets.
- Service mesh knowledge: Experience with Istio, Linkerd, or Cilium and east-west traffic management.
- AWS networking expertise alongside Azure proficiency.
- Observability tools: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
- Network security for AI/ML: Experience securing agentic or AI-driven workloads at the networking layer.
