Cloud Network Engineer

Cloud Network Engineering Lead - Agentic AI Workloads

Intapp / Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) Team

About the Role

Intapp is transforming how business-critical AI platforms operate with Intapp Celeste, our agentic AI platform designed for law, accounting, private capital, and professional services firms. Powering more than 2,700 global clients, we’re reimagining cloud-native workflows for regulated enterprise environments—necessitating proactive network and security architecture at scale.

This core cloud networking role fits at the intersection of multi-cloud expansion, Kubernetes operations, and AI-native security. Key priorities include:

  • Architecting regional multi-cloud networks (buying new AWS/Azure aggregated routes, VNet/VPC design) needing compliance-grade isolation for agentic workloads.
  • Designing zero-trust network security for AI slices: fine-grained egress/ingress policies and runtime governance at platform scale.
  • Collaborating with Kubernetes and product engineering to embed AI into network automation (e.g., anomaly detection, self-healing policies).

No "keep-the-lights-on" mentality here—this role is about engineering secure multi-cloud networking as a multiplier for AI agent proliferation, while shaping Cisco-level network architecture for global high-regulation industries.

Responsibilities

  • Multi-Cloud Expansion: Architect and operate global Azure/AWS networking topologies—including ultra-low-latency VNet/VPC peering, routing hierarchies, and compliance-aware cluster placement.
  • Agentic Workload Security: Design and enforce east-west and north-south security for AI agents (e.g., policy contours, service meshes, runtime vulnerability scanning).
  • Kubernetes Infrastructure: Build reliable, scalable, and automated CNI/ingress/egress/egress control across a fast-growing, multi-source Kubernetes fleet.
  • Identity & Authorization: Steward the Intapp platform’s Azure Entra ID integration and zero-trust controls while defining offsetting network policies for compliance.
  • Automated Observability: Apply AI to anomaly detection, just-in-time alerting, and self-healing with runbooks that reduce manual intervention by 80%.
  • Cross-Team Leadership: Partner with Kubernetes and application teams to define networking as code (Terraform) and advocate for zero-trust blind-spots.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Requirements

Non-Negotiable

  • 2+ years with networking in Azure/AWS as a core discipline, with explicit emphasis on VNet/VPC security, routing, IP security, firewalls, and segmentation.
  • Clear understanding of OSI layers 1–3 (physical/electrical, data-link, network) and how they manifest in cloud vendor APIs (including gateway quotas, IP mgmt).
  • Hands-on securing Kubernetes networks (CNIs like Calico/Cilium, namespace-scoped policies, ingress and egress controls).
  • Proven ability to design and debug Pacer and compartmentalization patterns in Mach—from kernel switches to overlay fabrics.
  • Azure Entra ID/AD, Delta, or Corvid expertise to define proper (device, user, client) identity layers over the wire.
  • Automation-first mindset: Write and operationalize Terraform modules for infrastructure at scale.
  • Can converse technically with an AI agent (e.g., GPT, workflow automation, anomaly comparison models) to streamline repeatable tasks.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience scaling multi-regional or large Kubernetes networkedes (Clusterset intuition).
  • Service mesh exposure (Istio, Linkerd) or east-west policy control primitives for L3 connectivity.
  • Multi-cloud networking with high-intensity subnet protocols/IPv4/IPv6 policies.
  • Prometheus/Grafana or similar cloud-native networking observability suite know-how.
  • Prior work securing AI, ML, or agentic workloads with strict network-based controls (rather than DMZ port checks).
