Job Summary
This role will be responsible for utilizing a diverse set of cloud technologies to support Centric Cloud Customers, and to help build and maintain a scalable, robust, highly available platform for Centric’s C8 cloud application. This position will report to the Senior Director, Cloud Operations.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve time-critical customer issues in the public cloud
- Perform customer deployments, migrations and upgrades in the cloud environment
- Support automation projects including writing coding
- Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage servers in multiple cloud environments
- Create, manage, and maintain Cloud networking components
- Perform backups and restores of database and servers
- Assist in ensuring security processes are followed and customer data is secured
- Perform other administrative tasks in cloud environments as directed.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Support teams to resolve issues
- Build effective working relationships with cross-functional team members
- Make suggestions for process improvements and enhanced operational efficiencies

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, MIS, or related technology field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years working with Public Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Advanced Linux or Open Source knowledge
- Expert in Containerization ie Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of cloud networking and security
- Infrastructure and Configuration as Code methodologies
- Detailed knowledge Microservices and DevOps
- 3+ years in incident response and major incident management
- Experience with the following technologies: Docker, Rancher, Virtualization, VPN, Kafka, RDP
- Advanced Linux and Windows experience
- Experience with the following is highly desirable: Confluence/Jira, Nagios, SSO, and SQL.
