The Role
As a Cloud Platform Consultant within the Cloud Platform and Security Team, you will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Your work will drive client outcomes through scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud environments, while advancing your own expertise alongside our security specialists.

You will provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption, support migration and modernisation projects, and ensure alignment with client demands. This role demands executive-level stakeholder management across diverse customers and internal teams, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Manage and optimise Azure resources for cost-efficiency and performance.
- Support cloud migration projects, from planning and execution to post-migration support.
- Implement and administer Azure services, including:
- Azure Virtual Machines
- Azure Storage
- Azure Databricks
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Defender suite
- Automate deployments via Azure Bicep and tools like Azure CLI, Azure DevOps.
- Monitor infrastructure with troubleshooting for high availability and performance.
- Enforce security best practices (in partnership with our security specialists), ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, supporting managed service clients.
- Develop and refine internal policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Technical Requirements
Core Expertise
- Cloud networking: Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall.
- DevOps and infrastructure as code: Azure Bicep, Terraform (preferred).
- Extensive experience deploying Azure resources, including:
- Storage accounts
- Virtual machines
- Synapse/Databricks
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or Python.
- CI/CD pipelines implementation and management.
- Strong Azure services knowledge.
- Familiarity with version control, especially Git.
- Monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Application Insights.
- Network configuration in Azure.
- Azure tools for security:
- Basic security capabilities in Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender.
- Understanding of Security Compliance frameworks.
- Must continue developing expertise in this area.
- Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Landing Zone conceptual architecture.
- Configuration and administration of identity and access management, including Azure Active Directory (EntraID).

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and its services.
- Deep experience with Microsoft Defender suite, Intune, and Sentinel.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for workflow management.

- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)
- AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect)
- AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer)
- AZ-500 (Security)
- SC-200 (Security Operations)
- Presenting skills and confidence in speaking to audiences.
