Cloud Platform Engineer – mydentist

Join our transformation department within our Support Centre based in Greater Manchester (M26 1GG). Full-time hours with hybrid working arrangements in a supportive, experienced team.

About the Role

Your future with mydentist, the UK’s leading dental network, means becoming part of a team focused on transforming how we deliver dentistry. You’ll:

  • Build, run, and improve services in our Azure tenant
  • Work closely with the Principal Cloud Engineer to deploy infrastructure-as-code, reducing manual effort
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity engineering across our 500-site estate
  • Secure critical clinical and patient data while moving toward Zero Trust
  • Automate deployments using Terraform/Bicep and apply Azure Policy, Microsoft Entra, and Conditional Access

Responsibilities

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll:

  • Help design and automate cloud infrastructure (networks, identity, IaaS/PaaS)
  • Apply security best practice, including PIM, Azure Policy, and patch management
  • Use Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep) to deploy safely
  • Drive Zero Trust adoption with Microsoft Entra & Conditional Access
  • Learn Microsoft Data Fabrics (Fabric, Purview, Data Factory, SQL)

Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience in cloud/infrastructure (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • Familiarity with Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity)
  • Cybersecurity knowledge; enthusiasm for advancing security principles
  • Knowledge (not essential) of:
    • Automation & IaC (Terraform/Bicep)
    • Microsoft data products (Fabric, Purview, SQL)
    • AI Foundry (desirable)
