Job Description

Senior Platform & Reliability Production Engineer – Audience Measurement

Make Your Mark at Ipsos

Ipsos CrossMedia is at a pivotal and exciting stage of growth, and we are looking for a motivated Production Engineer to join our innovative Data Science and Engineering teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on both high-profile, established projects for blue-chip clients and to contribute to brand-new, greenfield initiatives.

What is in it for you?

Skills

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to enhance their career and develop key skills. You will get the opportunity to:

  • Build and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: You will own the management of our production and development infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS. This includes our Kubernetes clusters, cloud storage, and identity and access management.
  • Master Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You will design, write, and deploy code to manage our infrastructure using modern IaC tools like Terraform or Pulumi. This is a chance to build your skills in creating repeatable and robust systems.
  • Automate Everything: You will be responsible for our CI/CD pipelines, using tools like GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps to automate the building, testing, and deployment of our applications and data workflows.
  • Orchestrate Data Workflows: A core part of your role will be creating, maintaining, and monitoring our data ingestion and delivery pipelines using Argo Workflows. You'll ensure that data flows seamlessly and reliably to our clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure System Reliability (SRE Principles): You will monitor the health and performance of our systems, ensuring efficient resource usage. When issues arise, you'll be on the front line, performing root cause analysis, deploying fixes, and providing Level 2 technical support. You'll also contribute to a blameless post-mortem culture to learn from incidents.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: You will be empowered to propose and implement structural improvements to our platform, from configuration management to system architecture. We want you to help us get better every day.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: You will work closely with our talented Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Owners to build scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that meet their needs.
  • Shared On-Call Responsibility: You will participate in a shared, rota-based, out-of-hours emergency on-call schedule. We strive to build resilient systems to keep this quiet, and we ensure our on-call engineers are well-supported.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Cloud Platform Experience: Professional experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure). We primarily use GCP and AWS, so experience there is a significant plus.

  • Databases: Working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases or data warehouses.

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., pull requests, code reviews).
  • Experience of Windows IIS
  • NoSQL Databases: Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
  • Agile and Project Tracking: Experience with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Networking Concepts: A good understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
  • Security Best Practices: A good awareness of and interest in security and privacy in the cloud.
