The Sales Executive role exists to drive sustainable revenue growth for Cloud Direct by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities.

The role focuses on understanding customer challenges, positioning Cloud Direct’s suite of Microsoft focused Professional Services and Managed Services effectively, and managing opportunities through the full sales lifecycle in line with the company’s values and commercial objectives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and progress a healthy pipeline of qualified sales opportunities aligned to Cloud Direct’s target markets and solution areas.
  • Manage sales opportunities from initial engagement through to contract closure, ensuring a high-quality customer experience throughout.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with customers, acting as a commercial point of contact and advocate for Cloud Direct.
  • Collaborate, orchestrate and motivate the Cloud Direct virtual team, including pre-sales and delivery, to shape compelling, commercially sound solutions that meet customer needs.

What you'll need:

  • New business B2B sales target attainment through the creation, development and closure of new sales opportunities via various lead generation channels, including breaking into accounts on your own.
  • Proven experience within technology, cloud, or managed services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships based on trust and value.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple opportunities in parallel.
  • Proven ability to manage forecasting accuracy, pipeline governance, and commercial risk.

Highly desirable:

  • 3+ years selling Microsoft cloud solutions, including Azure and Modern Workplace.
  • Strong network within Microsoft’s UK organisation and proven experience in co-sell and partner engagement.
  • Deep understanding of cloud solution sales cycles, value propositions, and enterprise account development.
  • Experience developing Account Plans, managing complex deals, and contributing to RFPs.
  • Formal sales training.
