Role Overview
Title: Cloud Sales Specialist Location: London or Leeds (hybrid working model, with office and home working flexibility) Contract Type: Permanent Salary Package: £80,000 plus comprehensive benefits, including a flexible pensions scheme, volunteer leave (2 paid days per year), and a range of company perks Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Role Purpose
The Cloud Sales Specialist will identify, develop, and close cloud sales opportunities, with a focus on Azure and AWS platforms. This role will overlay existing SCC account teams, driving new business while maintaining strong relationships with MSP partners and SME/public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive cloud sales, generating opportunities in Azure and AWS platforms within the UK IT services market
- Manage client relationships, articulating value propositions and securing high-value sales deals
- Collaborate with account leadership (Account Directors, Managers) to target enhanced value propositions
- Develop and execute sales strategies, including account plans, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Engage with SMEs and public sector clients, designing and delivering tailored cloud solutions
- Work with MSP partners, vendors, and internal teams (technical, delivery, management) to ensure end-to-end solution success
- Monitor sales pipeline, track performance, and ensure pipeline forecasting accuracy

Requirements & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT sales, preferably cloud-focused engineering.
- Strong track record in cloud sales, particularly Azure and AWS platform offerings.
- Hands-on knowledge of common managed services across hyperscale and private cloud environments.
- Experience in UK MSP sales, including SME/public sector engagements.
- Ability to build proactive stakeholder relationships and influence decision-makers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal development skills.
- Functional expertise in sales cycles, contract terms, and pipeline management.
- Experience collaborating across teams to bridge commercial and delivery goals.
Desirable
- Proven success working in an overlay sales role, alongside account teams.
- Familiarity with cloud migration, security, and support services.
- Understanding of var/split contracts and integrated channel dynamics.
- Experience developing and maintaining revenue objectives for SDR/closer hybrid models.

- Identify and qualify high-potential cloud sales opportunities
- Present compelling value propositions to customers and internal stakeholders
- Foster key relationships with buyers, decision-makers, and MSP/Vendor partners
- Craft and delivery persuasive proposals, bids, and contracts
- Manage full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing agreements
- Collaborate with technical/delivery teams for service delivery and continuous improvement
