Cloud Security Engineer (GCP) – 3 Month Contract
We're looking for a hands-on Cloud Security Engineer to join a high-impact 3-month contract engagement, helping strengthen and mature security controls across GCP environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and implement cloud security controls across GCP
- Harden IAM, access controls, networking, storage, and compute services
- Deploy security tooling including Security Command Center, Cloud Audit Logs, and similar platforms
- Establish cloud security guardrails, monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Conduct security gap assessments and deliver remediation plans
- Implement security controls using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and technical handovers

What We're Looking For
- ✅ Strong hands-on experience securing GCP environments
- ✅ Expertise in IAM, identity federation, least-privilege access, and cloud governance
- ✅ Experience with cloud-native security tooling and security monitoring
- ✅ Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code experience
- ✅ Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and cloud security best practices
- ✅ Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points
- GCP Security Engineer, CISSP, or CISM certifications
- Experience with Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Orca, or other CSPM platforms
- DevSecOps, Kubernetes (GKE), and CI/CD security experience
- Financial services, insurance, or regulated industry exposure
