About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our company's information assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud environments. You will be responsible for developing resilient cloud infrastructure solutions that proactively mitigate security threats and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role requires a proactive approach to security, a deep understanding of cloud technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in Information Security, with a focus on Cloud Security.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
- Deep technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) including IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, RDS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, WAF, and other related services.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, and familiarity with container security practices.
- Understanding of current cybersecurity threats targeting cloud environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new technologies rapidly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain resilient cloud infrastructure architectures that are secure by design.
- Implement and assess cloud security solutions to protect systems, databases, and networks from threats.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitor security logs and analyze security incidents to detect and respond to potential threats promptly.
- Participate in the formulation and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures tailored for cloud environments.
- Develop comprehensive security reports and documentation for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Test and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.
- Manage access controls and monitor the use of sensitive data to prevent data breaches and ensure compliance.
- Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data during transmission, storage, and processing.
- Review and address security violations, providing guidance to prevent recurrence.
- Support end-users by resolving network and security-related issues efficiently and effectively.
