Cloud Security Engineer
An innovative organisation in the technology sector is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer. The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring the information security of the business by designing and building resilient and secure cloud environments that proactively prevent security threats.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and build resilient cloud infrastructures protected against security threats and develop security solutions for systems, databases, and networks.
- Gain insight into security incidents by monitoring logs, performing vulnerability assessments, and making recommendations for appropriate controls.
- Participate in shaping security policies, procedures, and standards specifically for cloud environments.
- Create technical and managerial security reports for cloud-based applications and infrastructure while implementing disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor use of sensitive data and regulate access to safeguard information, ensuring confidentiality and integrity during transmission and storage.

What We're Looking For
- Proven working experience in Information Security with a specific focus on cloud security and deep technical knowledge of AWS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, CloudTrail, Config, and GuardDuty.
- Strong understanding of current threats to cloud infrastructure and advanced knowledge of securing these environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies.
- A degree in Information Security or a related field, with the ability to work autonomously and solve complex analytical problems.
