Cloud Security Engineer Preston / WFH

to £70k

Are you a hands-on cloud security engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working directly with customers? You could be progressing your career at a growing software and technology business.

As a Cloud Security Engineer

you will lead the design, implementation and hardening of secure Microsoft cloud environments, helping organisations strengthen their security posture through modern identity, infrastructure and automation.

Working across Microsoft Entra, Azure and Microsoft 365, you'll architect secure cloud platforms, implement robust identity and access controls and deliver well designed landing zones, networking and RBAC models that provide a strong foundation for enterprise security. You'll assess customer environments, remediate security gaps, deploy Microsoft Defender and Sentinel solutions and build automated, repeatable security controls using Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Terraform).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
