About The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Cloud Solutions Architect opportunities. Roles of this type sit at the intersection of technical design and business enablement, working with organisations to modernise their infrastructure, optimise cloud adoption and deliver scalable solutions. You could be architecting solutions that drive innovation across multiple business units, helping teams move legacy systems to cloud platforms and shaping the technical strategy for digital transformation initiatives.

The work could involve collaborating with stakeholders across development, operations and business teams to translate requirements into resilient, cost-effective cloud architectures. You would typically partner with engineering teams to design distributed systems, establish CI/CD pipelines, containerisation strategies and cloud-native approaches that support rapid delivery while maintaining security and compliance.

Typical Role Overview

  • Locations: Manchester, Bristol, Reading and nationwide across the UK
  • Type: Contract
  • Full-time
  • Day rate: £600–800 per day (senior) or £250–280 per day (entry-level)
  • Degree level: Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent cloud certification

What You Would Do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Designing and documenting cloud solution architectures across Azure, AWS and GCP environments
  • Translating business requirements into scalable technical designs using APIs, microservices and distributed systems patterns
  • Establishing and guiding CI/CD pipelines, containerisation strategies using Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code approaches with Terraform
  • Collaborating with development teams to support adoption of cloud-native technologies, frameworks such as.NET, ASP.NET, Spring Boot and Java, and modern data architectures
  • Working with operations and security teams to define cloud governance, compliance frameworks and disaster recovery strategies
  • Mentoring junior architects and engineers on cloud best practices, system design principles and enterprise solution patterns
  • Evaluating and recommending appropriate technology stacks and cloud services based on performance, cost and organisational strategy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
