The Cloud Solutions Architect will work closely with our pre-sales and delivery teams to present the optimal IT infrastructure design, implementation, and management of Genedata’s cloud-based applications and how they interface to complex customer IT environments. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on AWS infrastructure architecture, deployment process design, systems integration, configuration automation, security, and operational readiness for enterprise customers in both research- and regulated environments.

You will combine deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement skills, helping clients configure and deploy the Genedata Biopharma Platform successfully while influencing technical standards, and best practices across cloud delivery.

This is an opportunity to join a growing international team in a high-impact technical role with strong visibility across customers and internal stakeholders. The position will be fully remote, located in the United Kingdom.

In This Role, You Will

Support customer-facing discussions from a technical perspective and explain complex architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Partner with business, pre-sales, and delivery teams to understand customer technical requirements and translate these into practical, well-architected technical solutions that balance security, compliance, performance, scalability, and supportability Plan, configure, and support cloud-based deployments of Genedata products in customer environments, ensuring strong alignment with infrastructure, security, and operational requirements Contribute to IT infrastructure validation activities at customer sites and ensure solution designs meet regulatory, internal, and client compliance requirements Support the Operational IT and Product teams to design, develop, and evolve secure, scalable, highly available cloud architectures for operating Genedata applications, with a strong focus on AWS infrastructure, resilience, and operational excellence

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

3+ years’ experience in cloud, infrastructure, or systems engineering or similar roles Strong hands-on expertise across Linux/Unix and Windows environments Proven experience in a service or technical communications role including the ability to assess complex enterprise IT environments and produce clear architecture, network, and deployment diagrams that communicate technical solutions effectively Practical experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation in distributed production environments e.g. scripting, configuration management, CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting experience Deep hands-on experience designing and deploying applications on AWS, including core infrastructure services such as networking, compute, storage, identity and access management, and security; AWS certification is strongly preferred Nice to have: Experience with service operations, ITSM/helpdesk tooling, and customer-facing technical delivery in regulated or enterprise environments
