Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer
Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer - Huddersfield (£75,000 DOE)
An exciting opportunity for a Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer with a vibrant company undergoing significant growth.
Role Overview:
- Fully on-site position (five days per week)
- Design, deploy, and support advanced IT infrastructure systems
- Collaborate on innovative client solutions
- Resolve complex technical challenges using modern technologies
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure modern application infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Quadlet/Quixx)
- Create deployment configurations from scratch
- Develop automated scripts in Python and Bash
- Iterate on complex technical problems through debugging and troubleshooting
- Maintain and secure Linux environments (Windows experience bonus)
- Support air-gapped system deployments
- Apply IP networking and firewall concepts to architecture designs
- Translate client requirements into technical solutions and define verification methods

Requirements
- Critical:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/ OpenShift/ Quadlet/Quixx deployment architectures
- Strong Python & Bash scripting skills (full stack and troubleshooting)
- Experience in CSI iterative development frameworks
- Familiarity with Linux), with Windows experience desirable
- Low-touch deployment of secure, air-gapped environments
- Knowledge of IP networking & firewalls for vulnerability resolution
- Architectural design skills: translating requirements → deployment verifications

- Experience with self-hosted air-gapped infrastructure-for-scaling setups
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code platforms: Ansible & Terraform
