Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer

Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer - Huddersfield (£75,000 DOE)

An exciting opportunity for a Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer with a vibrant company undergoing significant growth.

Role Overview:

  • Fully on-site position (five days per week)
  • Design, deploy, and support advanced IT infrastructure systems
  • Collaborate on innovative client solutions
  • Resolve complex technical challenges using modern technologies

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure modern application infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Quadlet/Quixx)
    • Create deployment configurations from scratch
  • Develop automated scripts in Python and Bash
  • Iterate on complex technical problems through debugging and troubleshooting
  • Maintain and secure Linux environments (Windows experience bonus)
  • Support air-gapped system deployments
  • Apply IP networking and firewall concepts to architecture designs
  • Translate client requirements into technical solutions and define verification methods

Requirements

  • Critical:
    • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/ OpenShift/ Quadlet/Quixx deployment architectures
    • Strong Python & Bash scripting skills (full stack and troubleshooting)
    • Experience in CSI iterative development frameworks
    • Familiarity with Linux), with Windows experience desirable
    • Low-touch deployment of secure, air-gapped environments
    • Knowledge of IP networking & firewalls for vulnerability resolution
    • Architectural design skills: translating requirements → deployment verifications
