About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Club Development Manager to support the sustainable growth of our student sports clubs, ensuring they are accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to all. In this role, you will line manage a team of development officers and collaborate with coaches and external partners to enhance the student sporting experience. A typical day may include:
- Providing direction and support to the team of development officers in delivering sustainable club development
- Working with the wider performance staff team to support the competitive performance of clubs
- Developing partnerships with local and national organisations to drive club development
- Supporting clubs in achieving financial sustainability, including securing funding and developing income-generating initiatives.
- Leading on club related strategic and operational projects that enhance the holistic development of sports clubs
This is a full-time, permanent role, and some evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of student sports clubs.

You will join a dynamic, collaborative and supportive performance and club development team within the University of Nottingham Sport department, committed to creating an inclusive and accessible sporting environment where all students, regardless of background, identity, or ability, feel welcome and valued.

About You
We are looking for an individual who is committed to making student sport inclusive and enjoyable for all. You would be well-suited to this role if:
- You have experience and proven track record of successful sports club development
- You have Staff recruitment and management experience including target setting, performance management, appraisals.
- You have experience in building partnerships with governing bodies, or other sporting organisations.
- You have a collaborative and solution-focused mindset, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
- Knowledge and understanding of the higher education sporting environment, including the BUCS and other university competition structures.
