Club Secretary
Location: Mill Farm Sports Village, Wesham
Reports to: Director of Football
Up to £35,000 | Full Time | On-site
About the Role
AFC Fylde is seeking an organised, proactive, and highly professional Club Secretary to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day administration of the Football Department.
Working closely with the First Team, Women's Team, and Academy, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of all football administration and regulatory requirements across the Club. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of football operations, governing body regulations, and player administration to join an ambitious and progressive football club.
Key Responsibilities
As Club Secretary, you will:
- Lead all football administration activities across the Men's, Women's, and Academy programmes, ensuring compliance with FA, National League, UEFA, and FIFA regulations.
- Manage all player registrations, contracts, transfers, loans, and re-engagement processes.
- Maintain league portals and monitor player eligibility, disciplinary records, fines, and suspensions.
- Attend home and away fixtures, preparing team sheets, match reports, and all required post-match documentation.
- Coordinate team travel, accommodation, and pre-match arrangements while working within agreed budgets.
- Act as a key point of contact for visiting clubs, match officials, governing bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Football, Chief Operating Officer, and wider senior leadership team.
- Ensure all football administration processes are delivered to the highest professional standards.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A strong understanding of football regulations and governance across the FA, EFL, National League, and Academy structures.
- Experience preparing and administering contracts within a professional football environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High levels of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A positive, collaborative approach and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
