Be Part of Something Extraordinary
We are seeking an exceptional Cluster General Manager to lead an exciting hospitality portfolio comprising the successful Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Plymouth and The Marine Hotel, Paignton.
Where Will You Work
The Duke of Cornwall Hotel is one of Plymouth’s most iconic and historic hotels. Dating back to 1863, the hotel was created as the city’s first luxury hotel and still carries the character, grandeur, and charm of its Victorian heritage today. With 72 individually styled bedrooms, event spaces, weddings, private functions and a strong connection to Plymouth’s maritime history, the Duke of Cornwall is a hotel with real personality. As the hotel prepares to reopen following improvement works, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of relaunching a much-loved Plymouth landmark and shaping the next chapter.
The Marine Hotel is situated on a level position, directly opposite Paignton Seafront and a short walk to the town centre, with a free on-site car park which is subject to availability and cannot be reserved and free Wi-Fi within our bar lounge, you couldn’t ask for a better location on the English Riviera.
The Marine hotel has fifty-three en-suite bedrooms, with dog-friendly rooms available.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
