Pebbles Care has an exciting opportunity for you to collaborate with our established team and become an integral part of our children's lives. Your role may vary each working day across a small cluster of homes, with various shift patterns to support holiday or training cover. Our unique cluster roles allow you to enhance your development and enrich your experience by offering varied work and the opportunity to work across diverse teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Daily home life, such as driving our children to and from school, appointments, and visits (a full UK manual driving license is essential).
  • Teach valuable life skills, including meal preparation and household chores.
  • Create lasting memories through engaging activities, outings, and holidays.

Your Role as a Cluster Residential Child Care Worker

  • Employed full-time as a dedicated team member, averaging 56.4 hours per week, including sleep hours.
  • Work collaboratively with your team on shift across multiple locations in a cluster of homes within a short journey of each other.
  • Provide support tailored to the young person's needs, either one-to-one or two-to-one.

Your Training

  • Begins on day one with our comprehensive induction and shadow shifts.
  • Learn about the Pebbles Way and our therapeutic care model, supported by your manager and our in-house Learning and Development team.

What We Offer You

  • A starting salary of £ 35,468.95 to £ 37,043.94 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
  • Cluster Full-time roles operate on a rota pattern of one day on (24 hours, including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours).
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (this will be pro-rata for part-time contracts).
  • 100% funding for your Level 3 SVQ /NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care.
  • Career review upon completing your induction, training, and minimum qualifications.
  • Auto-enrolment into our salary sacrifice pension scheme (Scottish Widows).
  • Cash-back health care plan via Medicash, Blue Light Card, and meals provided during your shift.

Desirable Qualities Include

  • Up to 12 months experience working with children or young adults. (If you have more than 12 months experience, then our grade two and three level salaries may apply).
  • Working towards, or a desire to obtain, SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma relevant to Children and Young People's Residential workforce (funding may be available).
  • Familiar with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies.
  • An existing PVG / DBS certificate.
