CMDB Consultant

Senior CMDB Consultant

Contract Length: Initial 6 Months Location: Hybrid (London) Rate: £600 – £650 per day IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Role Overview

Our client, a leading global Professional Services organisation, is seeking a Senior CMDB Consultant to lead the next phase of its ServiceNow CMDB journey. Following an implementation around 18 months ago, the CMDB has remained largely underutilised. The business is now looking to transform it into a governed, trusted, and continuously improving strategic asset that delivers value across the wider organisation.

Reporting to the IT Director, this is a blended role requiring both hands-on technical expertise and strategic consulting capability. You will:

  • Assess the current environment, improve data quality and governance
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day CMDB configuration
  • Define a roadmap aligning the platform with wider business objectives
  • Act as the key advocate for the CMDB, engaging stakeholders to demonstrate its value and drive long-term adoption

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
