Job Title: Consumer & Market Insights Executive/ Assistant Manager (Retail)
The Role
A client in the global retail and fashion industry is seeking a Consumer & Market Insights Executive / Research Analyst to join the team for 12 months. You will support global and regional insight programmes, contribute to brand tracking, trend monitoring and cross-category research, and help turn data into clear, actionable insights. You will work closely with the Global CMI team to strengthen consumer understanding and support strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day management of the global brand health tracker across multiple markets
- Act as a key point of contact for external research agencies
- Assist in producing quarterly brand health summaries and reports
- Coordinate campaign and competitor activity within the tracker
- Respond to regional teams’ ad hoc data and insight requests
- Identify relevant consumer and cultural trends for weekly tracking
- Use tools such as Kantar Monitor to explore macro consumer shifts
- Synthesise insights from desk research, social listening and multiple data sources
- Support delivery of cross-category research projects from set-up to reporting
- Assist with questionnaire design, sampling and project coordination
- Conduct quality checks at all stages of the research process
- Analyse quantitative data and interpret data tables
- Translate data into clear insights and support the development of presentations
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Support project set-up, vendor onboarding and purchase order processes
- Coordinate meetings and maintain accurate project documentation

Requirements
- One to two years of experience in market research, insights or analytical roles
- Degree at 2:1 or above in a relevant discipline
- Experience working with quantitative research and large datasets
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights
- High attention to detail when handling and analysing data
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Curiosity about consumer behaviour and brand relationships
- Proactive, self-motivated and collaborative working style
- Desirable experience with brand tracking or continuous quantitative programmes
- Exposure to client-facing research environments
- Understanding of statistics and quantitative methodologies
- Industry qualifications such as MRS certification are beneficial

- Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 DOE
- Location: Remote, with some travel to London
