Certified to AS9100 Rev D for manufacturing and AS9120 for sourcing, ElevAero ensures full product traceability, rigorous inspection, and testing before release. While rooted in aerospace, the company also serves defense, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and general engineering sectors.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Aldridge for a CMM Inspector with AS9100 compliance and QMS experience. The position involves operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex aerospace and precision-engineered components against technical drawings and specifications. - Performing dimensional inspections with gauges and measuring equipment
- Recording and analyzing inspection results
- Maintaining calibration and verification records

The inspector will support AS9100-compliant quality management system activities, including:
- Documenting nonconformances
- Assisting with root cause analysis
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Collaboration with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements is a key part of the day-to-day work.
Qualifications
- Strong inspection skills, including experience with CMM operation/programming and component Inspection
- Proficiency in using Gauges and Measurements equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, height gauges) for dimensional verification
- Background in Quality Control within an AS9100 or similar aerospace quality environment, including QMS documentation and compliance
- Experience with Calibration processes and maintaining accurate calibration records for inspection and test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Previous experience in aerospace or precision engineering manufacturing; familiarity with AS9100 Rev D requirements
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a structured approach to root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline is beneficial
