- Location: Coventry
- Shift: Day shift (08:30 AM – 5:00 PM), + overtime
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Position Type: Permanent
- Salary: £18.00 per hour + overtime rate

The Role
As a CMM Inspector, you’ll play a strategic part in ensuring 100% component compliance with customer specifications and industry-leading quality standards. Working in our state-of-the-art inspection department, you’ll conduct a range of inspections using high-capacity CMM equipment, including:
- ZEISS ACCURA II (4200 x 1200 x 1000mm) with CALYPSO software
- Mitutoyo Euro 9166 (1600 x 900 x 600mm) with QCT controls
- IMS Impact (700 x 600 x 500mm) with QCT controls

Our ZEISS ACCURA II is one of the UK’s most advanced CMM machines, offering multi-sensor capability and the ability to handle large, high-complexity components.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary role will include:
- Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components.
- Operating and programming ZEISS, Mitutoyo, and IMS CMM systems.
- Creating, modifying, and maintaining inspection programs where required.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Utilising conventional measuring instruments:
- Micrometers
- Verniers
- Bore gauges
- Height gauges
- Other precision measuring tools
- Producing accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting non-conforming products, contributing to root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborating with production, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 quality procedures and customer requirements.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

A successful candidate must demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience as a CMM Inspector in precision engineering or CNC machining.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining CMM systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using a variety of precision measuring equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable Experience
Preferred but not mandatory qualities include:
- ZEISS CALYPSO software programming experience.
- Mitutoyo or QCT-controlled CMM systems experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Previous exposure to inspecting components within:
- Aerospace
- Defence
- Oil & Gas
- Automotive
- Other high-precision industries.
