Are you an experienced CNC Applications Engineer looking to work with one of the world's leading machine tool manufacturers?
We're recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised machine tool manufacturer seeking an experienced CNC Applications Engineer to join their growing UK team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CNC machining knowledge, applications experience, and customer-facing skills who enjoys working on advanced manufacturing technology across a wide range of industries.
What You'll Be Doing
As a CNC Applications Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting customers throughout the sales, installation and commissioning process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering feasibility and machining time studies
- Developing turnkey machining solutions
- NC programming, tooling selection and workholding design
- Customer training on CNC machines, controls and machining processes
- Supporting 4-axis and 5-axis machining centres and automation systems
- Conducting cutting trials, machine demonstrations and FAT/SAT activities
- Providing expert technical advice and troubleshooting support
- Producing detailed technical reports
- Attending product and technical training in Germany

What We're Looking For
You'll be successful if you have:
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
- Strong experience with Siemens 840Dsl and Heidenhain TNC controls
- Experience programming and supporting CNC machining centres
- Good understanding of modern machining processes
- Full UK driving licence
- British and/or European passport
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland
