CNC Grinding : Setter/Operator

A GBP 28898 to A GBP 39773 +20 shift allowance (A GBP 34,677.60 to A GBP 47,727 per annum) + Excellent benefits

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

A position has arisen for a CNC Grinding : Setter/Operator within the machining department on a double day shift . Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak.

Job Description

Setting and operating Studer cylindrical/universal grinding machines. Producing a wide and varied range of high tolerance parts which are used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines. Understand Fanuc CNC controls and be able to program/edit/improve existing and new parts. Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health and safety guidelines and rules. Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H and S improvements and kaizen initiatives.

Essential Criteria

Have a solid understanding of cylindrical and universal grinding. Have CNC grinding knowledge. Have experience and can safely operate and set CNC controls. Have a can:do attitude. Prior experience working within a team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Desirable Criteria

Program from drawing Fanuc CNC controls. Would have served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
