Position: CNC Machinist Experienced Location: Labman HQ, Seamer, North Yorkshire Salary: From £34,000 based on experience Employment Type: Full-time Labman Automation, a globally recognised and multi-award-winning company headquartered in North Yorkshire, specialises in designing and manufacturing bespoke laboratory automation systems and products for a diverse range of industries worldwide. With growing demand for our custom automation solutions and innovative robotic laboratory products, we are looking to expand our workshop team. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and professional CNC Machinist to support the production of high-quality components for our bespoke automation systems. What You'll Do: Precision Manufacturing: Manufacture high-quality parts to exact drawing specifications for bespoke automation systems CNC Programming and Operation: Write and optimise CNC programs using ONE CNC, and operate a range of milling, turning, and routing machines Technical Excellence: Maintain high standards of machining while contributing to continuous improvement in processes and techniques Innovation and Development: Stay up to date with state-of-the-art machining technologies and contribute to their integration into future systems Team Contribution: Support and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge to strengthen team capability Cultural Commitment: Uphold and embody Labman’s core values and behaviours in all aspects of work Core: 5+ years CNC machining (milling/turning) Programming experience (any CAM software) Reading engineering drawings Nice to have: Experience with Haas / DMG / Doosan machines ONE CNC or similar CAM software Mentoring or team support experience Company Benefits: 33 days annual holiday (rising to 38 over 5 years), including public holidays Company profit share scheme 5% employer pension paid on full salary Aviva Healthcare Travel opportunities in various roles Enhanced maternity pay (long service applicable) Enhanced paternity leave Access to counsellor, psychotherapist & physiotherapist CPD support and annual subscription to appropriate professional bodies Free in-house gym, squash courts, bouldering wall, and a wide range of clubs Labman Values: In it together – We collaborate, support one another, and contribute to a positive team culture Excellence – We strive for the highest quality in everything we do Humility – We respect others, welcome feedback, and continuously improve Sustainability – We consider our impact on the environment, community, and long-term success of the business Fun – We bring enthusiasm and enjoyment to our work
