Join our dedicated production team as a CNC Machinist, where you will play a vital role in producing high-precision turbine components. Imagine setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to create products that meet the highest quality and safety standards. You will interpret engineering drawings and CMM readouts to execute complex machining operations, ensuring every component meets strict specifications. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail will be essential as you verify component conformity and make necessary adjustments. How You’ll Make An Impact

  • You will set up and operate CNC machines to produce various turbine products, adhering to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Load materials into machines, ensuring a safe and efficient setup for the assigned load.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and CMM readouts to perform diverse machining operations effectively.
  • Adjust machine settings, including tool offsets, speed, and cut path, to guarantee component conformity.
  • Examine production output to verify specifications, conduct regular inspections, and maintain operational excellence.

What You Bring

  • You have a recognized Level 3 apprenticeship in Engineering or a related field.
  • An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Technical Certificate in Mechanical or Production Engineering is essential.
  • Proficiency in CNC machining, reading engineering drawings, and CMM operation and readouts.
  • Strong skills in precision measurement and gauging, along with knowledge of CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol).
  • A commitment to safety awareness, problem-solving, and a continuous improvement mindset.

You will be part of our Gas Services division, which offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Our team provides zero or low-emission power generation solutions, integrating all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof.
