CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist

A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our team as a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist, where you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts without sacrificing production quality. Work closely with production and engineering teams to drive operational excellence. Be at the forefront of manufacturing precision, where your expertise paves the way for success.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring ultra-precise part production
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to plan machining operations with accuracy
  • Measure and inspect completed parts using precision tools to identify defects and verify compliance with manufacturing documentation
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of machines to sustain peak performance and longevity
  • Collaborate with production engineers to diagnose and resolve machining challenges efficiently
  • Uphold a clean, organised, and safe work environment (plant floor compliance)
  • Document production metrics—including part counts, tolerances, and deviations—ensuring full traceability and accuracy

What You Bring

Essential

  • Formal Level 3 apprenticeship (e.g., full LA (L3), T Level, or equivalent qualification) in engineering or CNC machining
  • Proven hands-on experience as a CNC machinist in a high-output manufacturing environment
  • Skilled operation of general-purpose CNC machines (milling, lathes, boring, and grinding) with flair for precision
  • Certified CNC programming (e.g., with mastery of FANUC, Siemens, or G-codes)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
