CNC Turner / Setter / Operator
Location: Lancashire (Commutable from St. Helens, Wigan, Warrington, Liverpool, Southport, Bolton, Skelmersdale, Ormskirk, Preston)
Role Summary
A growing precision engineering specialist is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Turner / Setter to join a modern machining facility. This role involves producing high-precision components from exotic materials for industries where quality and accuracy are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, programme and operate CNC lathes
- Read, edit, and optimise FANUC programs
- Generate programs using One CNC or CAD-CAM
- Machine complex components from engineering drawings
- Work with exotic alloys including Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, Duplex, and Super Duplex
- Use fixed and travelling steadies on parts up to 5 metres long
- Conduct dimensional inspection using standard measuring equipment
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency

Required Qualifications
- Time-served CNC Turner (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong experience with FANUC programming
- Proven ability to machine exotic metals
- Experience using fixed and travelling steadies
- Ability to work to tight tolerances from engineering drawings
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
