JOB – CNC Machinist / Supervisor
LOCATION – Southall Area
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client is an established precision engineering company, supplying high-quality manufactured components to a diverse range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Supervisor to join their team in the Southall area on a permanent basis.
The CNC Machinist / Supervisor will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator
- Strong experience programming, setting and operating FANUC-controlled CNC machines
- Experience with both CNC turning lathes and vertical milling machines
- Experience operating conventional/manual machinery
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong understanding of machining processes including drilling, grooving, cutting and turning
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality precision components
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be advantageous
- CAD/CAM programming experience would be beneficial but is not essential

The CNC Machinist / Supervisor role will involve:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC turning lathes and vertical milling machines
- Producing precision-engineered components to customer specifications and quality standards
- Working on both CNC and conventional/manual machinery
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Carrying out online and offline programming of CNC machines
- Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet drawing tolerances and quality requirements
- Completing production records and quality documentation accurately
- Performing routine preventative maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting
- Managing workshop workloads and production schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Supervising day-to-day workshop activities and providing support and guidance to the team
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
